Jason Hokanson was injured in a car accident shortly after he turned 15 years old in 1990 after being thrown from a pick-up truck and breaking his spine at the T-12 level. He was introduced to the sport of wheelchair basketball shortly after his injury and has played ever since. Jason and his wife Sarah have one son (Joshua) who is almost 5 years old. Jason works for the Department of Veterans Affairs helping veterans with disabilities receive benefits. Jason and his family live in Sandy, Utah.
