The staff at LDS hospital were great and would come hide in my room to relax and play the Wii. I think they wanted to play the Wii more than work or visit me. After the hospital, I went to Neuroworx, where they not onlygot my spirits up, they got me on my feet again through a lot of stretching, laughing, and excercise. They are like family to me. In 2009, I had the opportunity to go play in the US Open Wheelchair tennis tournament where I took first place in Mens B singles and doubles. It was one of my dreams come true. I met Layne Mangum, coach of the Wheelin' Jazz, at Neuroworx. He recruited me to come play with the Wheelin' Jazz. I love playing basketball with the Wheelin' Jazz. The team is tons of fun and super nice. I am still new to the game and they are helping me become a great ball player. |
