The 2009-10 season marks the first year that an official Juniors team from Utah competed on the national level. With help from Salt Lake County Adaptive, the Wheelin' Jazz are pleased to announce the Junior Wheelin' Jazz.

The Jr Wheelin' Jazz consists of players age 13 up to 21 from Ogden down to Springville. The players are picked from a handful of youth that have been participating on local teams (Salt Lake and Clearfield) for the past few years. The three year goal is to build the program into two separate teams with both competing nationally.

Marilyn Blakley takes the reigns as head coach with Layne Mangum assisting. Layne has been playing wheelchair basketball for many years and is the current head coach of the Wheelin' Jazz.

The team roster of the Jr Wheelin' Jazz:

Sam Blakley, Henefer
Spencer Heslop, Clearfield
Aimee Vargas, Springville
Marshall Lindsay, Stansbury Park
Andrew Griffin, American Fork
Jason Hall, Farmington
Ryan Nelson, Sandy
Eliza McIntosh, Salt Lake City
Justin Rosvall, Salt Lake City

The Jr Wheelin' Jazz began their inaugural season on November 20, 2009 in Sandy at the 1st Annual Turkey Shootout Tournament.
